ZURICH - Olympic and world champion Grace Brown led Australia to a narrow victory over Germany in the mixed relay time trial world title race on Sept 25, with a winning margin of less than a second after a rolling 53.7km course.
Brown was one of three women alongside Brodie Chapman and Ruby Roseman-Gannon, while the three men were Ben O'Connor, Michael Matthews and Jay Vine.
"I'm feeling a bit greedy, I need a few more rainbow jerseys in my closet," Brown joked in reference to the jersey won by world champions, having won the women's time trial on Sept 22.
"But this one's really got a nice vibe, to do it with the whole Aussie crew. It's really exciting."
The mixed team relay opened with the three men completing the first half of the circuit, with the Australians ahead after their 26.85km effort.
