To help young couples secure their own homes and start their families earlier, HDB has pushed hard to complete existing Build-To-Order (BTO) projects delayed by the pandemic and introduced measures to reduce the waiting times. These include prioritising sites ready for early construction, breaking larger projects into smaller ones, and adopting innovative procurement practices.
Through these efforts, most flats launched in 2023 and 2024 have waiting times of four years or less.
HDB has also committed to launch 2,000 to 3,000 shorter waiting time flats annually, with waiting time under three years.
