Ms Yvon Bock, the founder and chief executive officer of baby products company Hegen, was on Nov 27 named the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 Singapore.
Ms Bock, who came out tops in the consumer products category, clinched the overall award, which had three other contenders.
She will represent Singapore at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year award in June 2024.
Dr Shi Xu, chair of the seven-person judging panel, and founder and executive chairman of mainboard-listed Nanofilm Technologies, pointed to Ms Bock’s first-hand experience with the challenges of motherhood.
“This led her to the path of entrepreneurship. Today, Hegen is a global brand in 24 markets worldwide, making an impact not just in helping mothers in their breastfeeding journeys, but also innovating to support them through their children’s growing ages,” he said.
