The Opposition bloc, Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) met at the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi on Saturday, to take stock of their own preparations leading up to 4 June, when the results of the Lok Sabha elections will be declared. They claimed that their formation would get more than 295 seats, enough for them to form the next government.

Addressing the media after a two-and-a-half-hour discussion, Kharge asserted that the I.N.D.I Alliance has arrived at the figure (295+) after feedback from the people. According to leaders, the party chiefs dwelled on a host of issues, including the precautions to be taken on counting day on 4 June. Kharge moreover said that alliance partners have instructed their party workers not to leave the counting halls till all formalities are completed.
