A source told how Beinash Batool, 30, spends hours chatting and playing cards with the 34-year-old nurse.
They became pals after Batool was placed on remand at the same secure wing where serial baby murderer Letby is being held for her own protection.
The insider said: "Beinash and Lucy live on the same wing with all the other lifers.
"They hang out on the landing together most days, playing cards and chatting.
