The number of students appearing and qualifying for the entrance exam has also increased this year. Of the 17 lakh students who appeared for NEET 2022, only 9.9 lakh qualified for the exam.
"Since 2020, the NEET cut offs have been declining. In 2020, it was 147, 2021 (138) and in 2022 it has come down to 117. Students who appeared for NEET 2022 had 80% of their preparation done through virtual mode during the pandemic. Thus, the cut off for this year dropped to the lowest recorded level.
