Panaji: Gokulam Kerala FC appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and their plight found a mention in the Supreme Court on Wednesday morning, but the Indian women’s champions are still unlikely to feature in the AFC Women’s Club Championship in Uzbekistan.
Gokulam Kerala reached Tashkent on Tuesday morning only to be told that Fifa, the governing body for world football, has suspended the All India Football Federation (AIFF) for “undue interference by a third party.” The suspension means no Indian team, either country or club, can take part in international competitions.
