New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has worked out a four-tier campaign strategy for the MCD polls, with chief minister and party convener Arvind Kejriwal at the top and the candidates at the grassroots level to ensure that the message of “Kejriwal ki Sarkar, Kejriwal ka Paarshad (councillor)” reaches everybody.
AAP’s MCD in-charge, Durgesh Pathak, said the strategy included road shows by Kejriwal, followed by nukkad sabhas (street meetings) of senior functionaries, the MLAs reaching out to various associations, and the candidates covering as many houses as possible. “The MLAs know associations better as both are in regular touch. So they are working with different bodies such as those of traders, workers and teachers,” he said.
