Geekbench and Antutu Benchmarking Test
Firstly, let’s take a look at the processors powering these tablets. The OnePlus Pad is equipped with the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 processor, which was a flagship processor when it was launched in 2021. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Pad 6 features the Snapdragon 870, also launched in 2021. Both processors are powerful and efficient, and despite some initial concerns about the OnePlus Pad not featuring a Snapdragon processor, it has proven to perform exceptionally well.
In terms of RAM, the OnePlus Pad offers options of 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB, while the Xiaomi Pad 6 comes with 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations. Moving on to the speed test results, the Xiaomi Pad 6 achieved a score of 1326 in Single Core and 3446 in Multi-Core on Geekbench, while the OnePlus Pad scored 1074 in Single Core and 3334 in Multi-Core.
Antutu Benchmark also showed the OnePlus Pad to be much faster, scoring 1363729, while the Xiaomi Pad 6 scored 252026. These results indicate that the OnePlus Pad has a slight edge in terms of raw processing power.
Speed Test
Now, let’s proceed to the speed test. A variety of apps were used to push both tablets to their limits, with a timer recording the time taken to perform various tasks.
Both tablets demonstrated similar download speeds of over 190 Mbps and comparable upload speeds during the internet speed test. As we moved on to social media apps like Twitter and Instagram, the Xiaomi Pad 6 took a slight lead. However, the OnePlus Pad caught up as we opened more demanding apps like Netflix, Chrome Browser, Kindle, Amazon, YouTube, and Maps.
