"This is a collection of works with a pending name of 'Pedestrian's view.' as it is a street documentary from a personal standpoint seeing city life in New York as moment fled from second to minute, attempting and capturing what could be nothing but a passing fraction of life was." - Enlin Qing
"My practice of capturing This collection of work is to anticipate and participate in each passing group, scenery, and changes in light. This sometimes takes weeks and months as I walk through various parts of the city and cross boroughs on foot, by bike, on skates, or via transit. Putting my eye through the camera and wait and then wait some more. Sometimes it is just a hunch when I see or feel this or that might lead to a moment; other times, as if it's rehearsed where I can almost see it align. And perhaps this is my favorite moment: when everything aligns, these persons smile, that person's gaze, the light dimmed just a little, and bystanders slowly move to their designations. Moments like this are timeless, as they often give me an illusion of stillness in time and life itself." - Enlin Qing
