Does this latest carbon-framed model share the same DNA? And how well does SRAM's new Powertrain motor work? THE FRAME While the silhouette may be similar, the new Megawatt uses a full-carbon frame (although the old alloy bike is still available). The 172mm of rear-wheel travel is delivered via the same Horst-link four-bar system, but Nukeproof say they've increased the level of progression at the end of the stroke, upped the anti-squat slightly and revised the axle path, too. Cleverly, Nukeproof have managed to add some useful storage inside the down tube.

All five frame sizes run on mixed-size wheels (29in front, 650b rear). Geometry is similar to that of the alloy bike - reach figures remain the same (455mm, medium), with a steep 77.5-degree seat tube angle and slack 63.5-degree head angle, but the chainstays are a bit longer, at 447mm.
