IT'S been a while since the Speed Figures appeared in Racing Ahead so we've pulled together the top clockers of the whole Flat season so far for this comeback article.
Business as usual will resume next month with the best figures from the weeks leading up to each edition carried.
TWO-YEAR-OLDS
Happily, the best two-year-old SF of the season came just a few days before we went to press with the impressive performance of WHISTLEJACKET (85) when winning the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket. He still looked green under Ryan Moore and pulled his way across the track in the final furlong to end up on the far rail. He still had almost two lengths in hand crossing the line and looks capable of following his brother Little Big Bear into the Group 1 ranks.
