WELCOME to October, this is one of my favourite months of the Flat racing season as our Newmarket trainers very often introduce some very nice as-yet unraced types to the racecourse for the first time.
This year will be no different as some very nice types are being prepared to be unleashed on the Rowley Mile on Wednesday 25 October. Get here to HQ if you can as I promise you will be seeing some very exciting individuals making their first start.
As my photo shows, the mornings are getting colder and a tad misty, hope you like this photo of mine looking out into the mist from the back of a horse. The misty mornings really make it easy to hear a horse coming up the gallops that has a breathing problem, we call them Roarers, that is because they make a sound trying to breathe and it is easy to identify a horse with such a problem.
