Akhil Sheoran clinched gold for India in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions (3P) match, scoring an impressive 468.4 to leave Patrik Jany of the Czech Republic trailing 2.2 points behind in second place at the Grand Prix Wroclawia & Dolnego Slaska. Both scores surpassed the existing world record of 466.1, held by Jiri Privratsky of the Czech Republic.
