BIRMINGHAM City’s home match against table-topping Leicester City tomorrow night should provide more clues as to how Wayne Rooney’s Blues revolution is progressing.
It was set to be the first time Rooney and Foxes striker Jamie Vardy had faced each other since the infamous ‘Wagatha Christie’ legal battle between their wives, but Vardy will miss the game with injury.
Rooney had said he didn’t want the game to be turned into a ‘sideshow’ so is probably relieved his former England teammate has been ruled out.
In any case, the former Manchester United star has more pressing concerns in trying to get Birmingham moving up the table. It certainly hasn’t been an easy ride since he strode into St Andrew’s in October and replaced John Eustace in the hotseat.
