Hurst confessed that last season’s National League play-off winners had already fulfilled their primary 2022-23 objective by passing the 50-point mark following Easter Monday’s 2-1 triumph at Doncaster in which Maher scored the 85th-minute equaliser prior to George Lloyd’s winner deep into stoppage time.
Challenge
As a member of the first post-War Mariners side to reach the last eight of the Cup this term, though, Maher is now determined that he and his teammates rise to their next challenge.
