Assistive technology (AT) is a combination of products, equipment, and systems that enhance learning, working, and daily living for persons with disabilities.
Within the AT, we have witnessed some incredible inventions which are enabling people to live healthy, productive, independent, and dignified lives. The technology is reducing the need of formal health and support services, long-term care, and the work of caregivers. With the support of assistive technology, anyone who has some form of disability can enjoy increased independence and a better quality of life.
