It’s 11am and I’m sipping gin, neat, while contemplating which cocktail to order next. It’s not something I expected to be doing this trip – early hour aside, in my mind, the Barossa Valley has always been about big, bold red wines from age-old producers like Penfolds and Chateau Tanunda. Yet here I am, enjoying a flight of three small-batch creations at Seppeltsfield Road Distillers, propped up in a space created from shipping containers.
