As a beloved Hallmark star, recent contestant on The Masked Singer, founder of the nonprofit HollyRod Foundation and spokesperson for the “Time To Go” campaign for women with overactive bladder, Holly Robinson Peete is hitting her stride at 58—and loving it. “I’ve learned the hard way that we all fail,” she shares with FIRST. “I’ve come back from so much in life, but those challenges have also taught me that things will be okay.”

This perspective has motivated Holly to build in some much-needed “me time.” “Each morning,” she says, “I do the Calm app, then set my intentions,” followed by an hour of exercise. “It makes me more even and ready to face the day.” Here, more of Holly’s tips to staying energetic, calm and vibrant every day.

STRESS RX: By-hand hobby

“Recently, I’ve been doing Diamond Art—it’s like paint by numbers, but with jewels you stick on,” Holly shares. “It’s so relaxing and easy. When you’re done, you really feel like you’ve done a painting. And the feeling of accomplishment? It’s the best!” That’s because doing art by hand boosts confidence, increases working memory and slashes stress by up to 60%.
