TINGLING OR NUMB LIMBS

"Pins and needles" is often caused by sitting or sleeping awkwardly on a limb and temporarily cutting off the blood supply to the nerves. However, if this is happening constantly or regularly, see your GP to rule out any underlying causes.

TIRED ALL THE TIME

If you can't sit on a comfy chair without falling asleep, wake up every morning desperate for another six hours of sleep, or are exhausted after walking a short distance, you need to find out why. Your GP will be able to test for fatigue-triggering health conditions such as thyroid issues, anaemia and diabetes.

UNEXPLAINED WEIGHT LOSS

It's lovely when friends mention you've lost weight and there's nothing quite as confidence-boosting as pulling on once-too-tight jeans and realising they fit perfectly. However, if you've not consciously been eating less and exercising more, and the scales show that you've lost more than 5% of your body weight in a short period of time, it's important to find out why.
