Sarah, Duchess of York, has revealed she nearly didn't go for the routine mammogram that detected her breast cancer.
She almost put off the appointment but went after being nagged by her sister Jane Ferguson Luedecke. The screening picked up a "tiny shadow" that turned out to be a tumour and she has since undergone surgery.
In her Tea Talks podcast, recorded the day before she had the operation, Fergie, 63, admitted the thought of travelling to a London hospital on a sweltering summer's day for her scheduled mammogram was not appealing.
"I live in the Windsor area, it was a hot day, I didn't feel like going to London. Easy to put it off." But a conversation with Jane, 65, changed her mind.
