On screen, there's no denying Brad Pitt is pure gold. Since arriving in Los Angeles in 1986 with hardly a dollar to his name, he's won Oscars and Golden Globes, while earning himself an almost $500-million fortune along the way.
But the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star experienced his own personal gold rush a few years ago when he thought the French vineyard he purchased with Angelina Jolie in 2008 was secretly harbouring millions of dollars worth of the yellow stuff!
Brad and Angelina, who split in 2016, and have wrangled over the custody of their children ever since are currently also at war over the idyllic 400-hectare Château Miraval in the South of France.
In February this year Brad, 58, filed legal documents alleging Angelina, 47mother of their kids Maddox, 20, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 13 unlawfully sold her interests in Miraval.
Last month, he filed further court documents claiming Maleficent star Angelina made the sale with the intention of inflicting harm on him. He's seeking a trial by jury, and wants the sale of Angelina's shares to be declared null and void.
With the estate estimated to be worth around $260 million, there's a lot at stake, but it could have been worth even more!
Brad confessed recently that a few years ago a stranger informed him the ancient château was quite possibly a gold mine in disguise.
