When it comes to acting gong nominations, the Oscars take the cake – and for Michelle Williams, that makes her baking tin rather full!
The 42-year-old actress admits she couldn’t quite believe it when she found out recently she’d been nominated a fifth time for an Academy Award.
“I’m still pinching myself,” laughs the star, who has been applauded for her role as Steven Spielberg’s mother Mitzi in his semiautobiographical movie The Fabelmans.
While the Blue Valentine star will have to wait until March 13 to find out if she gets to place the Oscar statuette on her mantlepiece, there’s no denying she’s come a long way since she first burst onto the scene in the teen drama Dawson’s Creek.
Back in 1998, Michelle was an ambitious but untested 18-year-old who’d emancipated herself from her parents at the age of 15 so she could try her luck in Hollywood.
