She landed her first film role at just 12 years old and has graced our TV screens ever since, so it’s fair to say that Linda Robson is truly deserving of her national treasure status.
But while her career has been a huge success, the past 12 months have been life-changing for the actor in terms of her personal life, as she sadly separated from her husband Mark Dunford last year after 33 years of marriage. She told Woman at the time of the split, ‘Enough is enough.’
Thankfully, the Birds of a Feather icon, 66, appears in good spirits when we catch up with her on the red carpet at The Rainbow Honours awards in London. Here, she reveals that Celebs Go Dating bosses are keen to sign her up, why her kids banned her from taking part in Celebrity Big Brother and her favourite member of the Royal Family.
Hi Linda, great to see you again. How are things?
Good, thanks. I visited Buckingham Palace today for a garden party and all the veteran soldiers were there, so I’ve been busy. It felt extra special because Princess Anne was in attendance [Linda was interviewed before the princess’ recent accident] and she’s my favourite member of the Royal Family.
Did you meet any of the royals today?
No, but I saw them on the steps, although I have met Princess Anne in the past. Of course I wore my flip-flops today, but my fancy pair!
Why is Princess Anne your favourite?
