OPPOSITES REALLY DO ATTRACT!

Moving from room to room at a house party, I chatted to friends and strangers with an equal amount enthusiasm. And as soon as the music was turned up, I took to the makeshift dance in the living room and started jiggling my hips, spinning round and singing with a small gang of friends. And I never had to wonder where my husband Avik, 44, was hiding as he'd always find himself a quiet spot in the corner of the kitchen. A great listener, he'd be sipping his drink politely and nodding while someone would be chatting away to him.

At one party, early on in our relationship, I dragged him on to the dance floor with me, and he looked utterly terrified. He swayed his hips awkwardly, his arms hanging limp beside him, and within seconds he'd disappeared back to the corner of the room. So now, we arrive at social events together but then we go our separate ways.
