Findings showed that those who took antihistamines had a bigger waist and higher weight than those who didn’t. It’s believed this is due to the drowsy sideeffect of some medications, resulting in less exercise and an increased appetite. Opt for non-drowsy varieties, or try low-impact forms of exercise that still burn calories when going slow. Try a daily walk – even if it’s just for 10 minutes. And feel fuller for longer with plenty of protein (chicken and eggs), slow-releasing complex carbs (wholegrain rice and bread) and starchy veg (sweet potatoes).
