MARKETING & BUYER

CATHERINE, DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE

Before she officially joined the Royal Family upon her marriage to Prince William in 2011, the Duchess of Cambridge lent a hand to her parents’ successful business, Party Pieces. The future queen, 40, dabbled in photography and compiling catalogues to help market the company – with photography becoming a hobby she has continued since taking on the role of a senior royal. But this wasn’t the only day job the mum-of-three had. Prior to her stint at the family company, Kate worked as an accessories buyer for fashion retailer Jigsaw.

RETAIL

LADY LOUISE WINDSOR

When she isn’t displaying impressive horse and carriage riding – as seen at her grandmother’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations – Lady Louise Windsor brushes shoulders with the public while working at a local garden centre. Following her A levels, Prince Edward’s eldest, 18, has been getting her hands dirty for £6.63 an hour, despite living in a £30 million mansion in Bagshot Park, Surrey.

However, Lady Louise’s summer job won’t last much longer as the royal teen has confirmed her attendance at the University of St Andrews – where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met in 2001 – this autumn. Let’s hope this short-lived taste of the real world will leave her prepared!
