When Sharon Lee and Lucas Dussurget decided to renovate their Victorian semidetached home in south-east London, they made sure they took their time. 'We lived in the house for a while before we made changes,' says Sharon. 'We wanted to get to know the space, to see how the light travels.
The couple's first step was to commission architects Emma and Ross Perkin of Emil Eve to help them revise the layout and oversee the project. Their brief to the architects was an eco-friendly renovation, with 'generous entertaining space, lots of storage, natural light and two sinks in the en-suite bathroom'.
