Talking to Woman's Day, Denise, 68, and Matt, 38, spill on their hilarious dynamic, and why, following Denise's heartbreaking breast cancer diagnosis, they cherished every day on set.
The original series is so beloved to Aussies, did you feel any pressure filming the reboot?
DENISE Pressure? Are you kidding? I've had local shopkeepers, neighbours, family members, strangers stop me in the street, shake their heads in dismay and utter those ominous words, "Big shoes to fill Denise."
MATT My dad was a huge fan of Garry McDonald, so- of all the fans of the original - I'm most nervous about disappointing him [laughs]!
