Katie Holmes has admitted it's "heartbreaking" to see her teen daughter Suri Cruise "becoming more independent"
But the star's facing up to her new reality that the 17-year-old - who has reportedly already started applying to colleges is becoming more self-reliant.
"Suri's definitely ready to spread her wings, and while she's still too young to move into her own place, she regularly stays over at a couple of her close friends' houses these days," says the source of the high school student, who was recently snapped loading her luggage into a waiting car in New York.
