While fans fell in love with Jock Zonfrillo thanks to his work W on MasterChef Australia, his award-winning restaurants and numerous cookbooks, for wife Lauren Fried, he'll be remembered as the funny, loving, muck-about dad.
"He's a tornado," said Lauren, the mother of his children Alfie, five, and Isla, two, in 2020. "He's got a lot of energy. He's always fun to be around." Giving more insight into the cheeky Scottish chef's antics, Lauren also revealed that he used to play the bagpipes as a way to rally his family to the dinner table.
"But sometimes he played bagpipe music if he was homesick or we had friends around. Poor little Alfie would be sitting there with his mouth gaping open, waiting for food.
"His Scottish charm is one of the things I love about him."
