Self catering vs hotels US
For groups, self-catering is usually better value. Not only because you can cook your own meals to save on eating out, but because the per-head cost is typically lower, especially for several nights. However, if you're planning on a hotel, and you ring them direct to explain you're booking multiple rooms, you can often negotiate a discounted price or extras such as free breakfast.
