She may have just celebrated 60 years in show business, but Lulu insists the best is still yet to come. She recently appeared in a coming-of-age comedy film, Arthur's Whisky.
Reflecting on her latest role, for which she was awarded Best Supporting Actress at the National Film Awards, the songstress says of her accolade, 'I couldn't believe it. I asked them, "Are you having a laugh?"
'I started taking acting classes about seven or eight years ago, and I loved working with my coach, so then to be asked by [producer] Stephen Cookson to be in a film with Diane Keaton and the amazing Patricia Hodge - I am the luckiest girl. And at 75! This might be a new beginning for me, you never know,' she hints with a twinkle in her eye.
Despite the Glaswegian star falling in love with her new craft, she assures fans that she will never stop singing. Music lovers will have watched how she held back tears this year, as she performed an iconic set on day three at Glastonbury Festival.
However, the mum-of-one shuts down rumours that it was her last-ever gig, exclaiming, 'Of course not! I said that it would be my last-ever tour, and people started saying, "Oh, so you're retiring?" And I told them, "God, no," she laughs.
'There will be more gigs - definitely. In fact, there will be a second part of my tour [Champagne for Lulu] starting in November, because a lot of people couldn't get there, and it was sold out.
