Bake up joy with mini pies
These petite treats are an adorable use for leftover dough scraps from baking pies. To do: Roll out pre-made pie dough. Then, use a biscuit cutter (or overturned glass) to punch out circles.
Place into greased muffin tins; fill with canned pumpkin pie filling. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, or until edges turn golden. Top with whipped cream or small fall cookies!
Say 'you're special' with sweet treat party favors
Make guests feel special with to-go treats! Just pick up mini pies at the grocery store (or try Freshness Mini Pies, 70¢ each, Walmart stores) and pop them in boxes (like Fall Treat Boxes, $16 for 12, Oriental Trading.com) that offer a glimpse of the treat. Tie with a ribbon.
Wow them with a pie bar
Hosting a fall pie potluck, like this one by Mariah Leeson (GigglesGalore.net), is a fun way to spend an evening with your loved ones! To get the look, hang a macramé backdrop or a crocheted blanket on a blank wall. Push a table or desk up against the wall. (Leeson likes a desk because you can stash utensils and more in open drawers to free up space!) Line up tiered servers and stands; top with pies. To finish, display a yellow vase filled with wheat stalks, a DIY sign and colorful pumpkins nearby.
Add a gourmet touch with a decadent snack board
