"You deserve

For all her fame and success, Carnie Wilson says her true happiness lies in the simple joys of life, like celebrating Halloween. “This year I want to do something fun: maybe dress up as a fairy Godmother or Tinker Bell!” she playfully tells Woman’s World. She lights up recalling Halloweens with her daughters, Luciana and Lola, when they were young. “We ran from house to house, gathering as much candy as possible, showing off their cute costumes.”

Such moments are extra special after years of battling depression, substance abuse and self-esteem issues. “I think happiness is about feeling moments of serenity. We all deserve that!”

Here, Carnie’s tips for enjoying life—and loving yourself.

Don’t miss Carnie on tour!

As always, Carnie currently has several irons in the fire. She is touring with Wilson Phillips, the multiplatinum-selling trio that includes her sister, Wendy (pictured below with her), and lifelong friend Chynna Phillips. She is also touring and writing songs with her daughter, Lola Bonfiglio, and is a talk-show host on Jeff Lewis Extended (Andy Cohen Radio-Sirius XM Channel 102). Amazingly, Carnie still manages to regularly post on her Instagram, @carnie68, and give speeches about sobriety and mental health. “My mom always says, ‘You never know what’s around the corner.’ For me, that could be anything!”
