In this issue, we examine the facets of sustainability within the Philippine context. Yola Johnson’s flat, though thousands of feet in the sky, is tethered to the ground in its use of all things from the earth. In her home, we see a solid example of pieces with material honesty. The pieces make no attempt to overly process their material origin, consequently celebrating them.
