Saudi Arabia celebrated a historic moment as Yazeed AlRajhi became the first Saudi driver to win the car category on home soil, also securing a top-10 overall finish.

In the motorcycle class, Daniel Sanders powered his KTM to victory, marking the brand's 20th Dakar title and further cementing its dominance in rally racing. Hero MotoSports also delivered an impressive performance, with Jose 'Nacho' Cornejo securing seventh place.

Indian motorsport made history as Sanjay Takale became the first Indian driver to complete the Dakar Rally. Competing in the Classic category alongside co-driver Maxime Raud, he navigated their Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ78 to an 18th-place finish.

Eleven attempts. That's how long it took Saudi billionaire Yazeed AlRajhi to conquer the Dakar Rally - a true testament to his perseverance. The 2025 edition delivered high drama, with favourites Carlos Sainz and Sébastien Loeb bowing out early, effectively reshaping the race.
