A NIGHT AT THE OSCARS

Actors and celebrities come together at the 97th Academy Awards to celebrate the best films of the year

With awards season in full swing, Hollywood's finest were perfectly prepped and preened for this year's Academy Awards ceremony. Hosted by US presenter and comedian Conan O'Brien, the star-studded event to recognise excellence in cinematic achievements brought together a dazzling array of A-listers. From Ariana Grande looking ethereal in a gorgeous blush pink Schiaparelli gown to Demi Moore dazzling in a diamanté Giorgio Armani Privé number, the stars on the red carpet didn't disappoint. The men were dressed to impress too, with Timothée Chalamet looked seriously suave in a pastel yellow Givenchy suit and Colman Domingo opting for a regal red Valentino ensemble.

Risqué fashion also made an impact on the night, with many guests opting for revealing ensembles. Olivia Wilde stepped out in a sheer ivory lace dress, while Zoë Kravitz wore a gown with a mesh panel at the back revealing her bare behind.

While most of the guests used the red carpet as an opportunity to show off their glamorous outfits, Halle Berry arrived with other ideas. The actress was caught on camera rushing towards actor Adrien Brody to give him an impromptu kiss, while his girlfriend Georgina Chapman watched on.

Halle later explained she was recreating a famous moment from the 2003 Oscars when Adrien unexpectedly pulled her in for an onstage smooch as she presented him with the best actor gong for The Pianist.

“I had to get payback,” she explained, adding that it was the first time she’d seen Adrien on a red carpet in two decades.
