Tango has filled a void in my life
Jo Poynton
Time For Tango

Our Tango is a Border Collie, and this is his story. It’s a summarised version of the events that took place when Tango was still a puppy.

When Tango was six weeks old, my son Robert chose him to be his dog – a little male puppy with almost completely symmetrical markings on his face . Tango was welcomed into our home to be part of our family on the 12th of December 2015.

It was a magical time, and Tango was a happy-go-lucky little dude; romping around outside and playing when he was awake delighted us all. He was house-trained in a matter of days. A very clever lad who was and still is very eager to learn and to please.

The 7th of April 2016 got off to a good start and was a beautiful, normal day. However, at 14:50 that afternoon, our lives changed irreversibly and forever in a split second. Robert was in his matric year and was riding his motorbike home from school. A car turned in front of him at an intersection and accidentally drove into him. This was a very pivotal point in my life and the start of our eight weeks of “pure hell”.
