I am a sculptor and multimedia artist born in Brazil, and in the past several years based in the Philippines, where I first began producing my artwork. I use 3D printing, resin, fiberglass, wood, and all sorts of materials to encapsulate the idea of identity loss and reconstruction of myself in my figure forms; my goal with my art is to question the viewer. - Ciane Xavier

CIANE XAVIER PROCESSES OF IDENTITY
Originally from a small town in the countryside of South Brazil, Ciane Xavier's first passion was to explore the immense diversity of cultures around the world during her career as a fashion model.
Since her teens, Ciane has lived in more than fourteen different countries, which has shaped much of what she today calls a process of identity loss and reconstruction of oneself, which is strongly reflected in her work.
