Commercial Design looks into the diverse options available for window and fenestrations systems and the technical considerations that influence their design and installation.
The upgradation of commercial spaces, mechanical and electrical ventilation, cooling/heating and lighting systems, rule the markets today. In this situation, enhancing the properties of fenestrations to be energy efficient has become the need of the hour. The trending green technology has invited highperformance, efficient windows and curtain walls to catch up with the design and comfort requirements presently demanded by commercial spaces. Before choosing any fenestration system for the structure – daylight, privacy, glare, thermal, humidity, sun, UV and acoustic control – are carefully analysed. These issues are addressed basis the functionality, climate, orientation of building and overall budget of the commercial venture.
“Windows and fenestration systems are extremely important in providing security, comfort, enhanced aesthetics and weathertightness for occupants. Selecting the right kind of products is critical for its suitability and sustainability. Criteria such as location, weather, type of building, usage and product expectation and maintenance should be considered when selecting window designs and equipment,” states Rajeev Antony, MD, Schueco India Pvt Ltd.
Addressing this growing need for high performing systems, Schueco offers a wide flexibility in design and surface finish with tailor-made solutions. The brand’s TropTec is designed and developed especially for tropical climate zones such as ours.
