I have been playing guitars as long as I have been airbrushing. It was just a matter of time and persistence that brought these two passions together. In high school, I would build guitars in wood shop and then paint them in art class. I did OK as a youngster back then, in the late 70s and early 80s. Some of the instruments actually received awards in industrial arts competitions. Little did I know that 35 years later, I would still be doing the same thing.
As the motorcycle industry started to take a dive, I was presented with a few options. One was to put more focus on other aspects of automotive. The others were the obvious ones, like guitars and album art for bands. I started to work for larger companies like Jackson/Charvel, BC Rich and Fender Musical. Today I work with many different small label builders, large manufacturers and individuals seeking something unique for their instrument. The opportunity to work with well-known musicians in the industry presented itself without any real effort, other than the association with these companies. There are so many I have been blessed to work with throughout the years. The largest account being the Grateful Dead. One of my favorite artists to work with is Phil Collen from Def Leppard: just a genuinely good soul. Steve Brown from Trixter has been another one that truly appreciates my efforts and we have become great friends.
