When one's surrender is complete…
Like any woman in a large family would, she took every responsibility of our home unto her tender shoulders and executed each of them so well. She mothers everybody in the family; she is my brother's wife, my dear Bhabhi, Pooja. I have seen her climbing 3 floors not less than 3 times a day to run various errands in one of those old buildings of Mumbai where my parents and brother live. Very energetic, always ready to help with a smiling face, bubbling with happiness, caring and loving to maintain every relationship to keep the family happy in every way is her basic nature.
There came a day when she had little pain in her abdomen, for which her son kept teasing her saying, “Maa, you are becoming fat with every passing day, please eat little less!” Though she knew her eating habits has never been bad or excess, yet that night when the pain reoccurred, her son's words flashed in her mind and the very next morning she went to consult a gynecologist. To the dismay of everyone around, the doctor could see a football sized tumour floating in her stomach of which Pooja had no symptoms at all! She further underwent a few more medical tests prescribed by her doctor. Finally, they declared that she is in the last stage of ovarian cancer.
