Sorry is, after all, just a 5-letter word. It slips out of us quite often. For simple things like not reaching on time, or calling on a stated day; to saying it when we really make a terrible mistake. Sorry… Sorry… Sorry… One hears it several times in a day.
In the recent past, I made a mistake which even to me looked unforgivable. In a flow of emotions, I let my words loose and they did what words coming from intense negative emotions do – they hurt the one I love the most very badly. Moreover, they hurt me very badly. I have come to realize, much more than the damage that you cause to others with any negativity, you cause it first to yourself. Also, what made me really sad was that it wasn't the first time I was doing this.

Dancer, choreographer and teacher of Bharatanatyam, Smt. Revathi Ramachandran's repertoire has taken her to stages PAN India, Europe and America. She is the only exponent of 'Sudha Nrittam', an ancient temple dance revived by her Guru Mangudi Dorairaja Iyer. She has been the recipient of many awards and accolades including the prestigious Kalaimamani award.Apart from her cultural achievements, this master's degree holder in Economics, has also captained the Tamil Nadu Women's' Basketball team in early 80s.
