Ben’s trick truck...
AL O'TOOLE
Love Apache

In 2009 Ben purchased this 1960 Chev Apache pickup out of Brisbane to build into a truck that he could just get in and drive anywhere and gradually built it into this cool custom hauler while still driving it around. It started out at stock height in bright blue paint with the original six-cylinder motor and was more or less built twice, once retaining its stock body stripped back to bare metal with a 350 Chev, four-speed and airbag suspension, and then again to what it is now.

“We drove it down to Victoria a couple of times when it had the small block and was bare metal but it was too harsh on the fuel, so I decided to pull it off the road and do a proper build on it. It was finished the night before we left for the first Boogaloo Invitational and up until that point had only been driven about 100 kilometres.”
