Late to the electrification party, Ford has certainly set out its stall in the past year. With mild-hybrid versions of the Fiesta, Fiesta Van, new Puma, and Focus alongside the full hybrid Mondeo, the latest Kuga receives the most complete electrification rosta, the mid-sized SUV range boosted by a bevy of plug-in models.
Totally rejuvenated by the third-generation car in 2019, the Kuga nameplate now takes on a more sensuous and sporty appearance than before, and our test car’s ST-Line X styling flourishes add additional appeal. Rakish and attractive, the new model looks more energetic even when at rest. Inside, the headlines are similar: more premium quality finishes marry thoughtful style with a packed equipment list. As well as an opening panoramic roof, there are heated front seats (with power adjustment on the driver’s side), an 8-inch TFT color touchscreen featuring Ford’s latest Sync 3 operating system as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a smartphone wireless charging pad, privacy glass, and a 10-speaker bang & Olufsen premium audio set-up.
