We Say: The New Hyundai Xcent Not Only Looks Different, It Gets A Punchier Engine Too 8.94 Lakh (Ex-showroom, Mumbai)

The Xcent has always been a nice car. It did everything that you would want a car from this segment to do. And Hyundai’s policy of stuffing all their cars up to the brim with features only made the value it gave for the money being spent that much greater. But then, it has been around since 2014, so a refresh was in order. So that’s what Hyundai has done. But while a lot of the refreshes usually just change a few panels around and throw some new bits into the mix, these guys have gone a step further and made significant changes to the engine as well.

The cosmetic changes start from an improved front fascia. The grille, headlights and bumper are all new with new cornering lights thrown in. The grille is now designed to resemble the family look a lot more than before. It looks a bit odd at first glance, but the second time onwards, it looks perfectly nice. The rear too gets similar changes with a new bumper and tail-lights.

Overall, the design changes make the car look a bit larger than it was before. And instead of looking like a stretched Grand i10, it now gets its own identity.
