Rolls-Royce is synonymous with luxury the world over. And in Dubai, at its one-of-a kind boutique showroom, we understand why

What does luxury mean to you? Does it mean having a lavish abode, wearing expensive labels, driving fancy cars and dining at the swankiest restaurants? At least my perception of the lux life matched the description above, until I found myself in Dubai, stepping into the shoes of a typical Rolls-Royce owner and spending a few days in the lap of luxury. It was only then that I realised true luxury lies in having the power to customise and there aren’t many carmakers out there who can claim to do as fine a job as Rolls-Royce in making a set of wheels an extension of you.

My agenda for the weekend was pretty straightforward – a Ghost would pick me up from the airport and drop me off at a one-of-its-kind Rolls-Royce Boutique showroom. I would then buckle up to drive a Black Badge up to the famed Jebel Jais mountain (the highest peak in UAE) away from the prying eyes of the speed cams. And once done, we’d call it a day at a luxury villa in the middle of a desert. It’s the kind of stuffonly dreams are made of – throwing a Rolls around mountain roads through the day and then de-stressing at a rainforest spa in the evening.
