This year’s Castle Combe Autumn Classic, held at the Wiltshire venue on 7 October, welcomed the GT & Sports Car Cup for the first time – and the 39-strong field provided one of the day’s many highlights.
From the off, Philip Walker (Lotus 15) engaged in a captivating scrap with the Lola Mk1 of Ben Adams and the Cobra of Mark Williams. Walker then handed over to Miles Griffiths, who brought the Lotus safely home to complete victory.
Adams tackled the enduro single-handed, but was blighted by ignition problems late on. He still managed to finish second, with Williams completing the podium.
