What does Koenigsegg do if an owner of a new Agera RS wishes to verify his car&rsquo;s performance amongst other brands? Well, get access to an airfield used during World War II in Vandel (Denmark) and go all out on its 2.8 km runway. That was exactly what Koenigsegg did. It was Sunday morning and a brand new Agera RS destined for its delivery in the United States was brought from Koenigsegg&rsquo;s factory to the airstrip. The hypercar featured Koenigsegg&rsquo;s&nbsp;One:1 upgrade package which bumps up the power from 1144 bhp to 1341 bhp and the torque from 130.52 kgm to 140 kgm. And all that is achieved from a twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V8 powerhouse that comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox that powers the rear wheels.Now after few runs to slightly north of 300 kph for assessing the performance and stability of the car, the Agera RS was ready at one end of the airstrip, with industrial strips still on the body to protect its various surfaces from debris in the strip. Niklas Lilja, Koenigsegg&rsquo;s factory driver was the chosen one to pilot the hypercar to perform a 0-400-0 kph record run. As he set off, in spite of the deteriorated tarmac, the Agera RS accelerated hard with traction control intervening in the first three cogs to counteract wheel spins. After reaching close to the 300kph mark, the rush of all the power and torque from the Agera RS &lsquo;s 5.0-litre V8 soon accomplished the 400 kph in 26.88 seconds over a distance of 1958 meters. From that point on, the Agera RS&rsquo;s carbon ceramic discs and bespoke calipers were up to the task of bringing the car from 400 kph to a standstill which was achieved in 9.56 seconds in 483 meters. The complete 0-400-0 kph run was completed in 36.44 seconds, thus securing the record for the shortest time taken by a supercar to perform a 0-400-0 kph run.
